Phoenix College A1 Team returned on Thursday evening to give thanks to the club for ongoing support during their journey of competing in the F1 Racing in Schools project. Pam Farey showed a video that was filmed in late 2013 at Phoenix Community College, just after the ‘A1 Team’ returned from their triumphant World Championship win, in Austin,Texas USA. In Rotary group 8 Ballarat schools are allocated to Rotary Clubs. Phoenix college and St. Patricks College are the schools supported by RCBS. Support of the A1 team was part of this commitment to Youth in our community. Participation in this school project has opened up a world and career pathways for these guys - all received substantial scholarships to continue tertiary studies in Automotive engineering and similar streams. They also have been mentored by some amazing talent at the same time. Well done guys, we are proud of your progress and absolute professionalism. Good luck for your bright futures.
