Phoenix Police Officers Son As Well As Firefighter dies after rappelling accident Friday: Phoenix Police have confirmed that a second victim has died after Fridays deadly rappelling accident on Camelback Mountain. According to Phoenix Police Sgt. Steve Martos, 15-year-old Trevor Crouse died from his injuries Friday evening. Crouse fought for his life much of Friday after he was transported to Phoenix Childrens Hospital. Fifty-year-old off-duty firefighter Gary Johnstone was also killed in the rappelling accident. Crouse and Johnstone were two of three individuals who fell at the Sugar Cube area at Echo Canyon early Friday morning. The third victim, another 15-year-old was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Echo Canyon was closed for much of Friday to investigate the incident and the investigation is continuing Saturday.
