Physiotherapist Gavin Sandford from Birmingham is ‘rolling out the barrel’ on a ‘wheelie’ long journey in a bid to raise thousands of pounds for the Physiotherapy department at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Gavin is half way through his 45 day journey from O’Groats to Land’s End to raise £50,000. He is running a marathon everyday whilst pushing an oak barrel upon a wheelchair. Despite having a twisted ankle he says he will continue despite doctors warning him to stop. Gavin, said: After working at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and treating children with all manner of illnesses, I am humbled, rewarded and inspired.
