#PiYoForTwo- 36 Weeks and still have some of my core & balance! ***Please note all pregnancies are DIFFERENT! Make sure to check with your Doctor/OB before starting a new fitness routine. Gym was packed this morning so decided to get my workout on in my hotel room. I love this core strength and balance sequence from PiYo. When you are pregnant the hormone relaxin makes some of the ligaments softer and prepares the body for delivery. As a result, exercise during pregnancy must be done slowly and without strain or overstretching to avoid injuries. Pregnancy is not a time to push your limits but to gently MAINTAIN flexibility and strength in preparation for birth and to assist in speeding recovery post natal. #FitTip for doing PiYo in my 3rd trimester: Work within your own skill level - I always tell people they can Slow down the movement, hold Downward Facing Dog or go into Childs Pose if any of the movements are uncomfortable. #PregnantNotPowerless
