Picture... For 29 years and 8 months a man woke up while the rest of his family was sound asleep. Got dressed for work, checked on his children kissed his wife and left for the day. During those years, holidays, birthdays, special events were missed. A man who put his job before his family. Did not do it for recognition, did it because he loved his job and wanted to do the best for his family. This man met many celebrities, dignitaries, guarded presidents and their families. Traveled the country to train other police officers, even traveled overseas to Jordan when personally asked by the King. For the last time this man put on his boots went to his last role call and turned in his keys. This amazing and inspiring man is my father. Today marked the closing of a lifestyle and the beginning of a new life. You are the true epitome of dedication and a Police Officer who should be commended. I love you Daddy. Enjoy your trains, grill, whiskey sours and grand babies. Sleep in, wake up after the sun rises... Today starts the beginning of your new life, enjoy retirement.
