Pictures from the panel discussion and Q&A yesterday with Steven Moffat, Jenna Coleman and Peter Capaldi after the screening of Deep Breath in London. We were lucky enough to ask as a question as well. We asked about The Doctors new Scottish accent and if there was any reason to it like there was with the 10th Doctor, as in the original script for Christmas Invasion, there was a line explaining that The Doctors accent changed from a Northern to a London one was because the newly regenerated Doctor sort of imprinted on Roses London accent like a baby chick. Peter answered saying that there was never any choice for him, he was always going to keep his Scottish accent as The Doctor. He said how it felt fake, like you are hiding, to put on another accent. After Peter had finished answering, Steven Moffat added Amy came to The Doctor as he was regenerating, so.... Very awesome evening. The episode was fantastic. Peter Capaldi is brilliant as The Doctor. Somehow he can pull off being intense and humourous at the same time. Cant wait for everyone else to see the episode!
