Pierre* is an Iraqi refugee, who now lives in Lebanon near the Syrian border. We met him at the most recent EQUIP HUB training in the Middle East. For the past year, leaders from Pierres church have attended HUB conferences, gathering with other Christian leaders from the Middle East and joining a unified effort to mobilize other Christians in the region for Christ. The leaders of Pierres church responded by expanding their ministry to engage the increasing flood of Syrian and Iraqi refugees in their community. Over the past year, every family in the congregation (nearly 700) is engaged in ministering to these refugees. Pierre, a Christian Iraqi refugee, understands the difficulty, struggle and persecution these refugees face. And with EQUIP’s help, he is mobilized to bring the gospel of Jesus in this time of need. Please pray for these leaders who are serving in Iraq and Syria, as well as for the leaders in Lebanon and Jordan who are endeavoring to minister to the millions of refugees fleeing Iraq and Syria as their homelands suffer unimaginable atrocities.
