Pity this letter writer didnt check the actual facts. He says The actual facts of Mr Flanagan’s experience reflect well on the health service. An overanxious parent brings a child to hospital, gets seen by a consultant within three hours and is discharged. Wrong. We went to the hospital because we were told to by our local GP as she was worried about the childs symptoms. Should We have ignored the doctors advice? As for my experience. I wrote not only about my experience but also about the experience of others who had to use the A&E. The writer is aware of this but chooses to ignore it. Im intrigued as to why? Does he really think what people had to put up with was acceptable? Does he really think the experience reflects well on the health service. The original reason for writing the piece was to point out that we do not expect much. If this individual is anything to go by then some have even lower expectations than I thought. Solution to mobile phone issue-: Get a landline. Solution to A&E: You shouldnt be there in the first place. Shut up it could be worse. Look at Africa. Solution to Chryptosporidium in our water: Look what they have to put up with in Chernobyl. I suppose his solution to someone drowning is to say. Havent seen any fish complain about the oxygen levels in the water irishexaminer/viewpoints/yourview/experience-reflects-well-on-health-service-300566.html
