If you dont have time to visit a branch or quite simply dont do cash, you may want to consider using your wonderfully amazing international Shinhan (check) card abroad. If you do choose the latter option, here is what you should expect to pay: For cash withdrawals, you will be charged 1% of the withdrawal amount plus a $3 USD charge - per transaction. If you use your card to make a purchase in a store etc, you will be charged 1.2% of the purchase amount and no more. Please keep in mind that it is likely that your cards are set up to allow you withdraw (in cash) $1,000 USD per day and up to $10,000 USD per month however, you can also apply to have these amounts increased to $10,000 USD & $20,000 USD respectively.
