Platform-Building Tip #3: Experiment with video and images. You can do little shorts, for example--get fun and creative and post them to YouTube. Use your iPhone. Keep it simple. It doesn’t have to be complex. You can video yourself talking about your writing process--what works and doesn’t. You can use Pinterest to create boards about your novel (elements of the story, character sketches, locations your characters visit, etc). The point is, even platform-building can be an exercise in creativity. Make it fun!
