The following students need to report to the concession stand at 3:30 to set up tonight: Caitlin Christeson, Brianna McCoun, Danielle Small and Alexa Gomez. The following students will need to be at the concession stand tonight at 5:45 for clean up: Glen Crane & Zach Shipp. All Juniors are invited to an EOC reward party for boosting their English 2 test scores last year, we ranked number 2 in the conference in English 2, way to go, the reward will be a movie in the PAC with a snack this Thursday during 6th and 7th hour! Keep up the good work tigers! There will be a senior class meeting this Thursday in the PAC at 11:30 during the 2nd half of Tiger Hour. Any Sophomore or Senior who did not get a packet of information from Jostens yesterday can pick those up in the office. The due date for Seniors is this Friday the 17th & the due date for Sophomores is October 21st. Congratulations to Sgt. Jackson, he is going to be the Interim Chief of Police beginning this week as Chief Bingham has resigned. This is a great opportunity for Sgt. Jackson and we wish him the best. He will still be around and will come over to the High School as often as possible to keep in touch with us all. Officer Youtsey will be the new SRO officer here at CCR3 and will be in the same office as Sgt. Jackson was. Welcome aboard Officer Youtsey! All Juniors need to bring $30 for Freshman dues. This is for your prom point policy and were never collected as Freshman. The Junior class took a vote and decided to go ahead and collect this money. This can be paid to Jill in the office. Vehicle Parking Permits were handed out yesterday with your grades. If you did not receive one please stop by the office to make sure your vehicle is registered and to pick up your parking pass. The Plattsburg FFA Chapter competed last week in the NW Region Grasslands contest at Pony Express Lake in Maysville, MO. The team of Justin McIntosh, Brooklyn Adam, Brianna McCoun and Ethan Foster finished second over all and Brooklyn Adam was second high individual over all. Dylan Anderson and Derek Guyer also competed as alternates for the Plattsburg team. With this placing, the students will travel to State Grasslands in Ashland, MO this Thursday. There is a mandatory Science Olympiad meeting on Thursday, October 16th in the middle school library at 7 p.m. for high school and middle school team members and coaches for all events. For the high school team members, be familiar with the events that you are in and be prepared to set up weekly practice times with your coaches. Please see the attachment for the Get Tech Night at Hillyard Technical Center. This is for all Freshman and their parents/guardians. It will be held on Tuesday, October 21 from 4-7pm. Mrs. Taylor goes to the Dominican Republic every year to volunteer at orphanages and this year some of her Spanish III students are trying to help her raise money for those orphanages. They are selling t-shirts for $15 and the there is a sign up sheet in the office. There will be a print on the front and the back and the design is attached to this email. Notes from the Counselor On November 15, 2014, there will be a free SAT/ACT Combo Practice Test and ACT Practice Test held by Kaplan Test Prep to help students decide between the SAT or ACT. Juniors who signed up for the PSAT - it will be held TOMORROW from 9:30 - approximately 12:30 in the Library. The office is selling spirit tattoos for $.50 each or 3 for $1.00. Stop by the office to buy yours today and show your school spirit. They will be sold in the cafeteria and commons each Friday. Yearbooks from last school year are in & can still be purchased for $55.
