Please Keep Sophias Journey in your prayers as she nears the end of her journey. Hospice did visit today. And more emotional news was delivered. They did not hear any air moving in Sophias lungs and her chest is no longer rising and falling with breaths. This means that her lungs arent working; that her stomach and accessory muscles are doing all the work of breathing for her. This is the final step in the breathing process before her body gives up. As she experiences more apnea spells, more decline in breaths per minute, we will know more about what to expect for timing. At this point, we ask for prayers for Sophias comfort and that is all. We dont need anything more than that. Thank you. Jamie
