~ Please *SHARE* this important post! ~ A video from First State Liberty PAC exposes my opponents voting record (see video below). I also had a response letter to the editor published in todays Delaware State News setting the record straight: It is inevitable that unethical politicians will try to hide their records in an attempt to deceive the people they represent. In the case of this years defeated 21% property tax increase for the city of Dover, councilman Sean Lynn and his political ally Tim Slavin [Chick twisting facts on Lynns record, Letters to the Editor, Oct. 31], both have a shared interest in covering up the truth. The facts are clear: Sean Lynn and Tim Slavin both voted for a 21% increase in Dovers property taxes. Thankfully, the measure to remove the tax increase from the budget passed without their votes, but had the vote went the way Mr. Lynn and Mr. Slavin wanted, the people of Dover would have had their property taxes increased by 21%. There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Mr. Slavin and Mr. Lynns counter-claims are, as city councilman Bill Hare described the proposed tax increase during this years city budget discussions, nothing but smoke and mirrors. It should also be noted that both Mr. Lynn and Mr. Slavin advocated for a 15% property tax increase in 2013. As city councilmen, the two have a proven record of pushing for major tax increases on the people of Dover. I have run a campaign based on truth and honor. It is telling that in the final days before the election, shameless attempts to slander my integrity come out. I stand for lower taxes, more jobs, and responsible government. I am running for state representative because I believe in government that works for We the People and I will serve tirelessly to that end. Sam Chick 31st District State Representative Candidate Dover, DE samchick.org *It should also be noted that not only has my opponent, Sean Lynn, misled the public about his record on property taxes, but he has also changed his position on major issues depending on his audience. Lynn flip-flopped his stance on: 1.) The gas tax, 2.) The legality of marijuana, 3.) Common Core. More details on this were provided in a mailer sent out last week. **I have stood by my principles in this election and when I ran in 2012. People are tired of typical politicians. I believe in working for the PEOPLE, and I believe in integrity. Please #PickChick Nov. 4th
