Please consider this, its so true. I know a girl from the Congo and she said that when she came to the US and went to school kids would ask her if she lived in huts in the forest or if she had shoes and they said to her oh my goodness you survived and made it here! How did you get here? Did you have clothes over there? She said they would make noises like they had African accents and were just down right bullying her. Now consider this. When you think of Africa or ask an ignorant question to an African or look down on them because of negative media imagery of the continent you need to think that this is where life, humanity began. It is where civilization began. It is a place that developed many technological, medicinal, mathematical, artistic, etc. advancements. It is a place where many many diverse and beautiful people live. Sure it has its problems that cannot be removed from the FOUR HUNDRED YEAR SET BACK we call the SLAVE TRADE, but thats no reason for us to maintain a level of subpar thinking about Africa and its people. So open your minds unless you become like the bullies that tortured the African girl who came here in search of opportunity but found ignorance and opposition.
