Please consider volunteering 2 1/2 hours of your time for some basic training to be able to potentially help out during an emergency! Berlin Friends - You are invited to learn about empowering the Berlin Community and other volunteers to open a shelter during times of disaster! Wednesday, March 26th 6pm - 8:30pm at Berlin Elementary School in the Learning Center. The American Red Cross is providing the supplies and training necessary to open a shelter quickly and independently. Our community spirit has helped us rebuild, recover, and renew over the past year. Now we have an opportunity to ensure that we are stronger and more prepared to face the future during the need to open and utilize a shelter location. This training is a collaborative effort between the Berlin Emergency Management Team and Red Cross. This session will be conducted by Larry Kupforman of the American Red Cross.
