Please don’t tell me they are going to play the race - TopicsExpress

Please don’t tell me they are going to play the race card? Remember Miriam Carey, she was the person shot as she tried to ram her car into the White House last week after leading Capitol police through a high-speed chase. Well now her family is speaking. Carey’s sister (Amy Carey-Jones) spoke with reporters saying they were “still very confused as to why Miriam is not alive” and the shooting was “unjustified.” The sister also spoke about being gravely concerned that Carey’s infant daughter was in the back seat during the entire incident. Hey that ‘nut gene’ must run in your body too Amy. First she tried to bust into White House, fled away after hitting an officer with her car and tried to ram her way into the White House, knowing she had her child in the back seat. She deserves to get shot. I don’t like Obama but that action is uncalled for and police do not know what her intentions were. This family needs to apologize for putting the capital on a lock down and thank God those officers just shot the woman and not her baby. Those guards are professional as we were there and maybe even spoke to a number of them as we preached outside the White House and capital. No one else was shot but the driver, I say “Job Well Done and now bill her family for the rounds used. Amy Carey-Jones said that she believed her sister was struggling with postpartum depression, but could not explain the depths of her mental condition that could have lead to that fatal confrontation. So what does that have to do with the shooting? Does law enforcement need to give the bad guy a questionnaire before shoots get fired? Maybe I’m not sentaive anymore but this woman was hearing voices as President Obama was communicating with her and her family says she was depressed? The family is questioning whether the only way to end the chase was by shooting their unarmed sister to death. One of the sisters, Valarie Carey, is a former New York City police officer and he said the family said they will conduct their own investigation. “My sister just totally didn’t deserve this,” said Valarie Carey, “There are going to be a lot of different stories being told by people that claim they may know her. They don’t. She was a law-abiding citizen. We believe that law enforcement could have handled things differently.” It appears all the pictures I’ve seen, she has a big smile. Was she bi-polar too? Carey–Jones said, “There wasn’t a pattern [of mental instability]. It was something that occurred suddenly. She seemed overwhelmed. There was a lot of stress.” She challenged earlier reports that her sister showed outward signs of severe mental stress early on. “There were not moments of her walking around with delusions. That was not what was going on. My sister was experiencing postpartum depression with psychosis, that was her diagnosis. She once had experienced a momentary break down that needed emergency care but got help and dealt with that. She had challenges as a new parent but we always spoke closely with her as parents and was dealt with it as a family.” How about having a family spokesperson say, “We thank the officers for only shooting Miriam Carey as they were professional, not knowing what the driver was doing. Did she have a bomb, did she have a gun, did she want to use her car like a plane and crash into a building? Thank You for saving the child from her mother and let this be a lesion to anyone who tries to ram law enforcement and buildings. You will get shot. My family is sorry for the lock down as we are to blame for not keeping a closer eye on our sister. That is all” If she did not believe in the Jesus of the Bible, she is in a eternal state of depression and if this goes to court am I am on the jury all those police officers walk away. And for the record, it will not surprise me if Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson will jump in the fray.
