Please listen and hear me out..... when I left work today I was headed to the special place that my daddy was layed to rest. Tomorrow is his birthday and I really do miss him. I took 3 red roses (as usual) for his birthday from his 3 girls. As I drove, seemed like forever, I suddenly had a rush of emotions and thoughts. Almost overwhelming. Wondering what he could be thinking and feeling at this very moment. Daddy was a strong feeling family Man. My thoughts rushed to songs.... Amazing Grace and Angle Wings... then a sudden laughter came as I remembered him saying things like... Do as I say, not as I do, Dont go past the curve and them rascals will hurt them bare feet last but not least, If you fall outta that tree and the fall dont hurt you, I will. That was daddy. Not to mention the times he didnt say anything cause momma had said Just wait till you daddy gets home. We would straighten up then. (Im being long winded...I know) along with the flood of songs, sayings and family gatherings of fun and laughter, there was this song that Daddy would sing. Its an oldie (very old) but will always be a goodie in my heart.
