Please, my friends (and the friends of my friends), try to step back and see that an invitation to help in the global fight against the oppression of women is not us picking a fight or saying all men are rapists. We are asking you to do one or two simple, rather informal things that we women are also asking ourselves to do. If youd like to discuss these ideas in earnest in a private or public forum, I assure you you will find open hearts and minds willing to listen...but we will also tenaciously stick to the things we have come to know as right and appropriate and useful. Our willingness to discuss doesnt mean we will allow these ideas to be derailed, glibly dismissed, or categorized as girl stuff or crazy. I know that a vast majority of the men I have and will discuss these ideas with come into the discussion in good faith. I thank you all for that.
