This weeks fundraiser will not take place but we would like to invite you to come see our amazing musicians perform on June 21, 2014! Zubair Al Awady is an internationally-recognized oud master who fled Iraq as a refugee and resettled in Houston in 2009. His repertoire is wide-ranging and includes a broad knowledge of oud music from throughout the Middle East. Emmanuel was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In 2006 after the death of his parents he fled Uganda where he stayed as a refugee for almost 3 years in the Refugee camp called Kyaika II refugee settlement. After coming to America, Emmanuel has become a talented recording artist, singer/songwriter and musician.
