Please post anon....i have a 4 day old little boy and the midwife noticed yesterday on a home visit he looked very slightly jaundiced,luckily she had a reader on her on took a reading,it was 168, she arranged for it to be red again today and its gone to 214,the midwife said its still on a normal rising level and not extreme but wants to test again tomorrow and if goes up again do a blood test,she also said not drinkin enough milk can cause it and its common but my boy is drinking 50ml every 2/3 hours and doing plenty of poos and wees ( its said going toilet can help flush jaudice out) so that confuses me too making me think has he got liver/kidney problems :( im pettified and wondering if anyone one else has been in a similar situation xx
