Please read on updates from the proposed cell tower on Southland drive (behind Oleika) From one of our neighbors >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hi all, There is a proposal for a cell tower that would be located on Olieka Temples property behind Incredipet. It would look something like this and be 130 feet tall. Here is a picture of the balloon test that gives some idea of how tall it would be. It will be visible at quite a distance from the site. Our ordinance apparently does allow the Planning Commission some discretion in the approval of alternative tower designs. Concerned parties can email the Planning Commission and request they use this discretion to relocate, shorten, and/or disguise the antenna. Interested parties can also attend a public meeting on November 20th at 1:30pm in the Council Chambers. Please note, it is against federal law for local governments to disallow a cell tower due to health concerns, so those concerns should not be included in any correspondence with the Planning Commission.
