Please read the email below and if you or anyone you know lives in the area, please share it. Or just please share it anyway. Thank you -----Original Message----- From: Linda Beatty To: Linda Beatty Sent: Tue, Jan 20, 2015 4:44 pm Subject: Lost Taco in car accident today - Please help us to find him. Just West of Houston in Katy, TX I need everyone’s’ help. Today has been a heartbreaking day. I received a call early this morning from Tram, my daughter-in-law. She was hysterical and crying because she had been in a bad accident that pretty much totaled their GMC SUV. It was the other driver’s fault and he got ticketed, but he was taken away in an ambulance with a bloody face. The police and EMT’s tried to make Tram go in an ambulance too, but she refused and had to get mad before they let her stay. Fortunately, as far as we know, she is not seriously hurt, but is banged up pretty bad and her stomach was hurting. Thankfully, she had just dropped all the kids off at school, so they were not in the car when the other guy hit her car. The worst part of this accident is that she had both Blade and little Taco, their Pitty and Chihuahua, in the car with her. See attached pictures above. Taco was sitting on her lap and the air bag went off and there was smoke all over the car. Little Taco got hit first with the airbag. Tram opened the car door when there was smoke and both Taco and Blade jumped out and took off running because they were scared. Tram was able to get Blade, but Taco took off across a big field at the corner of Fry Road and Clay Road in Katy. The field is full of brambles and tall weeds. In fact there are a lot of deer that live there (we saw a fawn today), as well as cows, and I’m sure snakes. There are also hawks in that area. The reason Tram wouldn’t go in the ambulance is because she wouldn’t leave their dogs. She really needs to have x-rays or her stomach because she is a tiny little thing that doesn’t weigh 100 lbs and her stomach has been hurting her all day, plus she is limping because she hurt her ankle. But, all she cares about right now is finding Taco. We don’t know if he is hurt or not because he did take off running, but I’m sure he was in shock and he could have been hurt internally. Unfortunately he isn’t micro-chipped, nor did he have his little harness on with his tags. But, she is totally devastated and heartbroken that she lost Taco. And, so is the rest of the family. He is such a little snuggle bunny and so full of love. I have been with her all day out there trying to find him, to no avail. That is such a busy corner and we are worried he may get run over if he even gets through the field safe. The weather is going to turn bad on Thursday too and he gets so cold and starts trembling when out in the cold. He and Blade both don’t like being out in the cold. Blade is also stressed out and was laying in the front seat and kept leaning into me with his head in my lap most of the day. And every time Tram would get out and call for Taco, he would jump up to look out the window. He is also going to be lost without Taco. Since I am not on Facebook I would like to ask all of you who are, to please put out a lost and found for him with this email. I will work up a flyer with Taco’s pictures, offering a reward, plus telephone number. But, if you can go ahead and get this email and attached pictures on Facebook until I can get the flyer ready, our entire family would greatly appreciate it. I know some of you are not in the Katy or Houston area, but thought maybe you could give me some suggestions for lost and found pets. I would like to know who else to contact. I’ve seen where people have sent info out, but I have never had to use them and don’t know how to go about this. Any advice would be so appreciated. I don’t know where to start after sending this email. Please help me out and let me know the best way to get the info out there to everyone, especially, in the Katy area. Tram’s cell phone number is 832-867-1251. Please forward ASAP because as we know, the sooner we can get it out the better chance Taco will have of possibly being found safe. I only have a couple of pictures of Taco by himself eating ice cream because he is always with Blade whenever the pictures were taken. But, he is a little deer Chihuahua with big ears and long legs. He actually looks like a tiny little deer as you can see in the above pics. Please keep precious Taco in your prayers that he will get back home safe. Thank you, Lynn
