Please read this 5 Star Review that just came in on Rev. Allen Smith’s new book, “The Ultimate Guide To Kindle Publishing Using Microsoft Word”. The title says it all I was given a pre-publication copy of this book, by the author, in exchange for a review. As a self-published author myself, and one who prefers to manually code his eBooks, I wanted to learn – from a technical point of view – about the process that enables anyone to successfully bring a book to market. There are loads of poorly-presented Kindle books out there, and I was ready to spot any flaws in this Microsoft Word process and deliver my damning verdict. Had I been a naturally vindictive person, then I would have been disappointed and rather frustrated. Why? Because, quite simply, there is nothing wrong with this book or the process it describes. The narrative is friendly and precise. There are no ambiguities in the directions, and the information, as far as I have tested them, are spot-on, and the tutorial images will remove any possibility of confusion when dealing with Amazons publishing web pages. But its not only the publishing process thats given in this book; its also the wealth of extra information contained in the Resources chapter: sample press release, an extensive list of websites where you can promote your book on marketing days, and other helpful websites and links. Some of the information was new to me, and I have already begun to use this (whilst reading the book). That is what I liked – not knowing what gem of information would be on the next page. And, of course, the friendliness; it was as if I could hear the authors voice because I believe he writes as he speaks. So even if youre a seasoned self-publisher on Kindle, I would recommend this book. And if youre new to the process, all the aspects are covered in this one volume; the clue is in the title.
