Please read this. This might happen to you and your loved ones. Please be prepared. My son is in college and on a trip for college. Today, my father-in-law received a phone call and the caller stated he was my son and that he was in trouble and needed money. Then another guy came on the phone. My father-in-law is hard of hearing so told him to call his daughter, my sister-in-law. Well, they did call her. She called me very upset. I thought it was a scam but found it hard to understand why they did not just hang up and go on to the next victim. With my son being unable to be reached, I was a little upset. I was able to contact his college and they were able to put me in touch with him which I was very grateful for. This is really a crime that could have become a serious issue. The reason being is, while my son was ok, my father-in-law was very shook up. This added stress could have caused a heart attack or a stroke. Please tell any grandparents that this is going on and to be watchful for it. Somehow, we need to stop this behavior from happening in this country. I hope everyone is safe and sound today.
