Please save the date! On Saturday December 7, GS troop 733, along with American Sewing Guild members, sorority sisters, and others, will set out to create 200 comfort kits to send to girls in South Sudan. Each kit will contain ten reusable washable menstrual pads, two liners, panties, pens/pencils, ziploc bags, and safety pins. We need your donations of fabric - flannel, sheets, towels, etc to make the bags and pads. The sew-athon will be at the Bahai Center in NW Gainesville and everyone can sign up for shifts. You can send me your email address to let me know you are interested in helping/donating, etc. Cash is needed also to cover shipping costs. The Girl Scouts are available to show their power point presentation to any groups in the area to rally support. Check out their FB group Mission Possible: Keep Girls in School.
