Endless War Inc. hard at work. The tragedy is that all this energy and money and skill should be used to improve the lives of Americans, to rebuild our infrastructure. But heres the thing: that would open up opportunities for thousands of businesses, and Wall Street is about merger and consolidation, insider trading, and corporatization, and Washington is about kissing Wall Street’s ass. So war is about the fast buck, and if socieities are destroyed and thouands of lives taken, who cares so long as the Wall Street suits can buy another yacht, another villa, another tax haven?
