Please save the life of a father.... Father of one of my friends, Samaha Alam, 42nd Batch, Sher-E-Bangla Medical College, Barisal, was severely burnt on 10 Sep, 2013 in his own residence. Now he is admitted at Combined Military Hospital, Dhaka. Case summary: 11/09/13. Mr. Sharif, aged 55 yr is a case of major burn injury TBSA-65% with inhalation injury sustained due to accidental gaseous exploration (sewerage line) at about 1700 hrs on 10.09.2013 while in wash room. He was immediately shifted to burn ICU, CMH Dhaka, Bangladesh. Clinically there is deep partial and full thicken burn over scalp, face, head-neck, out trunk, par trunk. Both upper limb and both legs. TBSA-65%. Initially managed on the burn-protocol. CVP line given, ETT done and put on mechanical ventilator. Urine output is satisfactory. Major Burn injury TBSA-65% is a severe injury. The patient may develop septicemia, MODS or ARDS and may be better managed in an advance center with a burn ICU. Recommended to be shifted to burn center in neighboring country like Singapore . He will travel by Air ambulance. Patient details Name : Mr. Sharif Alam DOB : 30/07/1957 This treatment is very expensive and requires around 2.5 to 3 crore taka.
