Please take the time to read this full post! Were working with a few families locally that need help making a Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas dinner, and Christmas presents a reality. As of right now, the families have no means of making it happen for themselves. Were already reaching out to the local supermarkets but theyre fielding requests from pretty much every nonprofit in the state. Essentially, were on a list and God only knows whether or not well get the donation of food that were requesting. The local food banks are also swamped. Same goes for the toys/presents front, but at least we have a little more time to work with on that one. We realize this is often a financially difficult time for everyone, especially if you have family/kids of your own. That said, if youre able to, we could sure use some help. Whether you have $5 to donate or $50, wed like to be able to provide full meals for these families on Thanksgiving, again on Christmas, and start buying and wrapping gifts for Christmas. All donations are 100% tax deductible. Well also get pictures and thank you notes from the families and post them up and send you copies. My mom got help from organizations just like Genesis 5020 Foundation a few times when I was younger. This is the hardest time of the year for most of these kids and something as simple as a special dinner and a couple presents DOES HELP!
