Pls share ..... From past three days, braving all odds, Army has rescued thousands of people all across Jammu and Kashmir who were trapped in flood-hit areas. The Army not only provided relief and first aid to the affected people but also supplied rescue boats, vehicles and JCB’s in different areas which were badly hit by floods. non-stop efforts are on to to extricate people caught in critical conditions while thousands of people have already been shifted to safer places. due to unprecedented rainfall in the past 72 hours there has been heavy inundation of low lying areas astride the Jhelum and others rivers in Kashmir valley. “Mission Sahayta has been launched by the army to rescue people from critically affected areas, especially where lives were at risk”. More than 50 army columns were pressed into service across the valley and they have been launched along the engineer boats. Their teams putting themselves at great risk have rescued more than 6000 people. The Army columns have also swung into action in and around their operating bases and provided relief and rescue to numerous people. There are many columns with engineer persons equipped with ropes, empty jerry cans and water crossing expedients in adjoining areas. Chinar Corp have directed all the Army units stationed all across Kashmirto proactively reach out to flood affected people and help and rescue them to safety. Army has also issued helpline numbers for South Kashmir (08886775566), North Kashmir (9419012403), Srinagar (9419000245/9419095215) while people living in Bemina and adjoining areas including HMT, Zainakot, Narabal have been asked to seek help from them in case of flood related emergency on the mobile number 9906510505
