Poem Of The Week: Sunday, August 4, 2013 Life is perceptional, a point of view, a relative affair, and a never-ending paradox. Every age has its climate, every time, its flavor, and every place, its aroma. We are ever changing our looks, minds, and priorities. We vacillate from one position to another as we react to unique personal experiences. What we see depends on where we look. Our cosmic position determines our individual perceptions and our colors. All human conflicts distill into personal clashes as a result of differing, cosmic points of view. On the other hand, love is the harmony of souls, the dance of bodies, and the music of the entranced minds. It is the crosswalk between reality and illusion, the bridge between heaven and earth, and the strongest link between man and his Maker. We must always hope never to become too hungry for anything. It is through the blind yearnings of hunger that we make our worst mistakes and taste our most bitter regrets. Open Arms Cage When on the peak The planes are low And everything is small. When on the plane The mountains glow The wheat and corn are tall. When in the day And sun is bright The stars and planets hide. When in the night With sun away The stars gaze open eyed. When out of love Unburdened, free My hunger tunnels deep. When caged within Your open arms I fill my heart and sleep.
