Police Blotter 5/27/14 - 5/28/14 Patrol was dispatched to a report of reckless operation on William Street. Patrol stopped a vehicle matching the description given after observing it swerve into the oncoming traffic lane on Lake Avenue. After failing several field sobriety tests, the 43 year old male driver from Buffalo was placed under arrest. The subject was charged with D.W.I. and failure to keep right. Officers checked a report of a possibly intoxicated male walking on Walden Avenue. A computer check showed that the 49 year old male had an outstanding warrant out of the City of Buffalo. The subject was taken into custody and turned over to a Buffalo P.D. car. Officers conducted traffic details on the following streets: Hinchey (2), Pavement, Stony (2) and Walden. Lancaster dispatchers handled 18 E.M.S. requests. Patrol and Bowmansville Fire Department responded to a fire alarm activation at Lancaster High School. A complainant from Central Avenue reported a case of aggravated harassment. Officers responded to 3 alarm calls, 2 motor vehicle accidents and 2 vehicle lockouts. Community policing - an officer assigned to bike patrol checked the quarries off Pavement Road, Town parks and several schools.
