Police are advising members of the public that an incident involving an unattended item at a shopping centre in St Marys this morning has been resolved. About 9am today (Friday 23 January 2015), emergency services were called to a shopping centre on Charles Hackett Drive, after an unattended item was discovered. Police established an exclusion zone as a precaution. The item was assessed by specialist police before being deemed non-suspicious. The item has been seized and will undergo forensic examinations. Investigations into the incident are continuing and police are hoping to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquires. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 180cm tall, with a solid build. He was last seen wearing three-quarter khaki pants and a black t-shirt.
