Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon at a high school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Local outlets have confirmed that shots were fired Wednesday afternoon at Brashear High School, a public school of around 1,400 students. WPXI News has reported that three people, all believed to be students, were shot during the ordeal, but the story is still developing. The station has also made unverified claims that as many as three gunmen were involved in the incident. Several area networks have reported that police are scouring nearby woods in the Beechview area of Pittsburgh for a possible gunman or gunmen. The school was placed on lockdown following the Wednesday afternoon incident.
