Police are investigating after the bodies of a man and woman were found in a house in Stockport. At around 6.40pm on Friday 16th January 2015, police were called to an address on Meadway Road, Stockport following a report of concern for welfare. Officers attended and during a search of the house found the bodies of 46-year-old Yvonne Davies and 45-year-old Andrew Davies. A post mortem has now taken place and has revealed that Yvonne died as a result of multiple stab wounds. Andrew was deemed to have died of asphyxiation due to hanging. Detective Supt Emily Higham said: “We are still making enquiries into the deaths of these two people, to try and ascertain the exact circumstances leading up to this tragic incident. “However we do not believe there is any third party involvement and we are not currently looking for anyone in connection with their deaths. The community will be understandably shocked therefore we do have extra patrols in the area to offer some reassurance. A full investigation into the circumstances surrounding their deaths is underway.
