Police are searching for a man who has escaped from the South Coast Correctional Centre at South Nowra. Joshua Duke was discovered missing from South Coast Correctional Centre just before 2pm today (Saturday June 8, 2013). Police from Shoalhaven Local Area Command were alerted to his escape about 2.20pm. Local police are continuing their inquiries at the correctional centre with the assistance of Polair and the Dog Unit. Mr Duke, aged 30, is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175cm tall with a medium build and a shaved head. At the time he was wearing green shorts, green t-shirt and green shoes. He is currently bail refused to face court for numerous offences including an alleged armed robbery. Police consider Mr Duke dangerous and warn he should not be approached. Anyone who sees him or knows of his current whereabouts is urged to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.
