Police arrests Shabir Shah at Pattan Srinagar, Sep 4: Police on Wednesday arrested the senior pro-freedom leader and Democratic Freedom Party chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah at Pattan, while he was on his way to Sopore in Baramulla district of north Kashmir. “It has now become routine for government to unjustifiably arrest Shabir Shah. This is the reason that Shah for the past two and a half yearshas been either put under house arrest or detained in police stations for over one year,” the spokesperson “On the one hand, the government is stopping the leadership from meetingpeople, on the other, it decorating the musical concerts to mislead the people of Kashmir,” the spokesman said.
