Police have arrested and charged a 36-year-old man from Fullarton with fail to stop and render assistance following an alleged hit-run crash early this morning at Stepney. At about 12.20am, police were called to the intersection of Magill Road and Sydenham Road after two cars collided where one car drove off without stopping. Two female occupants of a blue/green Mazda 121, were seriously injured. The 30-year-old passenger was trapped for some time before being removed and both remain in the Royal Adelaide Hospital. At about 3.50am, patrols located a 2003 black Jeep Cherokee parked on Dequetteville Terrace at Kent Town suspected of being the offending vehicle. After further investigation, police attended an address in Fullarton and spoke with the occupant, believed to be the driver involved in the crash. A short time later he was arrested and charged. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash, in particular taxis in the area at the time, to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 .
