Police have charged a man after he allegedly punched and stomped on a woman in Condobolin last night. About 11.30pm (Wednesday 23 April 2014), a 32-year-old man attended a house on Bathurst Street and allegedly had an argument with a 32-year-old woman. The woman left the house and as she was walking along Tasker Street, the man allegedly punched her in the face and stomped on her right foot. The man then left the area after a further person approached them. Police from Lachlan Local Area Command were contacted and attended, commencing an investigation. The woman was taken to Orange Base Hospital for treatment to her leg and bruising. About 10am today (Thursday 24 April 2014), detectives attended a home on Craft Crescent and arrested the 32-year-old man. He was taken to Condobolin Police Station and charged with recklessly cause grievous bodily harm. The man was bail refused to appear at Condobolin Local Court today (Thursday 24 April 2014).
