Police investigating a theft in Sunderland have identified a woman on CCTV who has provided vital witness information to the enquiry. The theft happened between 1.30pm and 1.45pm on Saturday, May 24, when a shopping bag was stolen from McDonalds, in High Street West. An image was released of a woman officers were keen to speak to. The woman has now been identified and officers have spoken to her. Police would like to thank the woman for the assistance she has given and her help in the investigation. Enquiries are on-going into the theft and to trace the person responsible.
