Policy of Reconciliation There is a proverb “Whosever digs pit for others may fall into it”. In eighties and nineties Mian Nawaz Sharif and his colleagues adopted the policy of confrontation consequences of which are still hovering over Pakistan. Fall of Nawaz Government was result of its own wrongful policies. Where are those who advised General Musharraf to adopt policy of reconciliation with both main political parties i.e. PPP and PML(N). These well wishers were Army Generals (retired and serving both), political leaders including PML(Q) and elders like Air Marshal ® Noor Khan and foreign states. General Musharraf was a wise man. He had got good political training from his diplomat parents. He did all about what he was advised. Therefore, in order to bring back PPP leadership, he had to remove criminal cases registered against them by Nawaz Government. He did NRO and brought PPP into main political stream. At the same time, it was PML(Q) and foreign dignitaries who advised General Musharraf to give the same concessions to Mian Nawaz Sharif which were given to Ms. Benazir Bhutto. In order to confirm it you should go through newspapers of that time which will reveal that PML(Q) leaders including Sheikh Rashid and Mr. Ejaz-ul-Haq played key role in bringing back Mian Nawaz Sharif. However, now Mian Nawaz Sharif and PPP leaders have forgotten all those reconciliatory efforts made by General Musharraf on sincere advices given to him by Generals, Politicians and Foreign Dignitaries. Whosoever wants development of a country he has to avoid policy of confrontation. General Abdul Nasser, President of Egypt was very popular among its people. Egyptians still remember him. His policy was to go ahead without striking others. So if you will strike with others, your all efforts for the development become futile. Look! If a student gets involved in quarrels, he can’t study, and if an employee gets involved in litigation, his promotion slows down. In light of above, I conclude that Mian Nawaz Shairf should be clever enough to understand what is right and what is wrong. He should not follow the foolish people who don’t want development of this poor country which is already encircled by its international enemies. He should remember that General Musharraf and Mr. Shoukat Aziz brought great amount of investment in Pakistan. They had built confidence of the foreign and national investors. Pakistan was progressing at high speed during their era. A Judge is working on his personal agenda. He wants to bulldoze farm houses of Chak Shehzad in order to cause loss to General Musharraf. He wants to cause loss to whole Pakistan due to his personal grudge with General Musharraf. If that judge is so much champion of justice, then where is justice for the poor who can’t afford huge fees of lawyers of the Supreme Court. Why didn’t he succeed in causing loss to Malik Riaz Case?
