Political Rant: First of all, I dont care what party you are, I dont ever vote party. Yea, I said it, so there goes my chances for running for a office in the future. :) But in the Ardmore/Carter Country races coming up in November, usually I know the candidates because they work in the office they are running for or are known in the community. I guess I dont get out much, because several of the candidates I have absolutely no clue who they are. A matter of fact, one of the candidates drove to our house to put up a sign and both of his tags were from Texas. Now, as a ordinary citizen, I am going to assume that he was driving his own vehicle. SOOOO, if it was his vehicle, that tells me that he either just moved here or hasnt had the time (usually at least a year) to get his tags changed? SOOO, how are you going to know how my county government works if you havent lived here long? So as far as most of the elections are concerned, I really like the incumbents, and the only offices that have people I know running against each other will be the judge positions. I even saw a yard today by Lincoln Elementary with a Ross (Incumbent) and Babcock (dont know her) sign in the same yard. Come on folks, choose a side. :) By the way...I hate politics!!!
