Political storm warning in Sierra Leone in the middle of Ebola: Minister of Lands Country Planning and the Environment Declares for SLPP Flag-bearer Report reaching this press which was also carried on the front page of one of the local newspapers in the county, Salone Times todays publication disclosed that the Minister of Lands Musa Tarawally has expressed intention to join the opposition Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP). The paper further alleged that Musa had already declared his intention to context for the flag-bearership position of SLPP come 2017-18 National Elections. Mysierraleoneonline was briefed by our source that the Minister is no longer seeing eye-to-eye with President Koroma and that he would be among the ministers that will take the exist door in President Koromas next cabinet reshuffle. Salone Times reported that ... the political emissary by the name of Dugba allegedly went to the SLPP Office to have a meeting with the young generation wing of the Party, on the instruction of the ruling APC Organizing Secretary, stating that Musa Tarawally wants to make a come back to the SLPP and will be contesting for the flag bearer of the party .... The paper went to to report that ... commotion ensued amongst the grass root of the party who where at the Party Premises on Tuesday to the point that the youths started abusing the Chairman of the SLPP Chief Somanoh Kapen, nothing that because he (the Chairman) wants to make money, he will encourage moles to come into the party. This press has it that Musa is planning to travel out of the country and has not been going to work for the past months. This was confirmed to this press by Mohamed Konneh who claimed to be the Spokesperson of the Minister. It could be recalled that the Lands Minister was the first member of the opposition SLPP defected to the People Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC) in 2006 after the SLPP Convention which saw Solomon Berewa as the Presidential Aspirant. Mohamed Konneh has refuted the said allegations about the Ministers interest to join SLPP after defected from the party. He also disclosed that Musa is not habouring any intention to contest for flag bearer of SLPP. Konneh confirmed that Minister Tarawally has not been going to work and that the minister would soon travel out of the country.
