Politics matter. We interact with one another in our personal lives and at work and in public. One of the ways we interact with one another is through the political system. We vote and elect or appoint political agents (politicians, judges, police, etc.) to do things to and for us and our neighbors. In order to carry out the command to “love our neighbors as ourselves”, therefore, we must examine the ways in which we treat people through the political system. In my opinion, that’s worth talking about.
