Port Huron Schools are committed to advocating, innovating and educating every child that is entrusted to our care. Every staff member wants to provide your child with an outstanding educational experience. I would like to assure everyone again, that the issue Mr. Sopha posted about earlier this week has been addressed by the schools administration. I comment here on Facebook, solely because this is the point of origin for the discussion. With future issues, I encourage parents and students to address them directly with those that can enact change swiftly like their schools administration or my office. I am the Community Relations Director and welcome all feedback you may have. Really, call me if you have a problem, I am happy to help resolve it. We do not monitor Facebook as a means for identifying problems and it is not a fast track way to garner results. Mr. Sophas concerns were shared by the principal prior to being posted on social media and have been addressed. With the new vision and mission of the district, its important that our community knows that the leadership truly cares about every child with whom our professionals work with daily. We are committed to improving our services for every family and child. It is critical that we continue to develop the best possible instructional experience for our students. As a community, it is important that the districts mission, vision and the efforts of our educators are supported. Thank you.
