Position Title: Office Assistant (Customer Service) Location: Atlanta, GA (Midtown) Position Type: Part-time (20-36 hours/week) Education: Minimum 1-year college coursework completed Salary: $9/hour Cover Letter: Required to be considered Who we are: We are a close-knit team in a modestly sized independent research firm (EBSCO Research LLC) that is a division of a large, international corporation (EBSCO Industries, Inc.). EBSCO Research conducts telephone research on the home repair market and publishes the results of our research annually in consumer guides across eight cities. Our department frequently communicates with recipients of our publication via the telephone and e-mail. Job Details: The job title describes the position well -- you will be spending most of your time assisting with various tasks in the office, or, more specifically, assisting the customer service department with feedback and inquiries from recipients of our publication. There will be other projects to work on as well, such as research, data entry, and other administrative tasks. No matter what youre working on, we will be sure to provide you with plenty of training first. Two great perks of the job are the casual dress code and the free coffee. Schedule: We are looking for someone who can work between 20 and 36 hours a week, in 4 or 8 hour shifts daily Monday through Friday: • 9am to 1pm • 1pm to 5pm • 9am to 5pm Responsibilities: • Support the company by responding to customer inquiries via phone and electronically • Various data entry, mailing, and research projects • Conduct occasional research over the telephone • Assist with office management tasks • Other administrative duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: • Minimum 1-year college coursework completed • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office • Type a minimum of 45 wpm • Score a minimum of 80% on our in-house proofing test Proofreading and typing tests will be given in order to qualify for an interview. What we would consider to be a huge bonus: • GPA of 3.0 or higher • Experience in a customer service environment Who were looking for: The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, computer savvy, and have excellent communication and organizational skills. Ideally communication skills will aide in maintaining fluidity and consistency in the office, not only with customers, but with coworkers as well.
