Possibly Big News... I dont want to stir the pot unnecessarily, or give rise to false hope, but I learned something yesterday that will be of interest to Paul Revere and the Raiders fans. Keith Allison tells me that he has heard (informally, I believe) from someone at Dick Clark Productions, and that DCP Is “thinking about” (please note the words in those quote marks) putting together some DVD(s) of “Where the Action Is,” quite possibly collecting all of the non-album tracks that the Raiders, and he, and Steve Alaimo, etc. did for the show. As hardcore fans will note, those tracks were cut “live in the studio” (in other words, without tracking/overdubbing) at Armand Steiners, and the Raiders tracks (unlike some studio cuts from that era) featured Paul on keyboards, with the entire band (often augmented by Keith). Mostly cover tunes, and a bunch of what Keith calls “family numbers” featuring the entire WTAI cast. Thats all I know at the moment, but if this pans out, it will be a very exciting development for PR&R fans.
