Post Dated Promises God works on both ends of the line. He gets - TopicsExpress

Post Dated Promises God works on both ends of the line. He gets you ready for it even when you don’t know what it is and He gets it ready for you, but visionaries are usually impatient. The greater their vision, the more difficult it is for them to wait, yet waiting is an essential part of the process! God finds some of the best people in some of the worst places. For example, He found Gideon hiding in a cave and Rahab working in a brothel. It takes time to clean us up and get us ready. You may be called to pastor, but while you’re waiting, you have to sweep the church or drive the Sunday school bus and not lose your self-esteem in the process! Look at Joshua: he’s been to the Promised Land and tasted its blessings, but now he has to go back home and live with people who have no idea (and in most cases, no interest) in what he’s talking about. Is that where you are today? Have you been asking, “Lord, how long will my passion be there but my place be here? How long do I have to keep this promise in my heart and not have a soul to share it with?” Your appointment is still on God’s calendar! “There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God Who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish….” (Phil 1:6). Even though your promise may be post-dated, remember Whose signature is on the cheque!
