➡️My version of an old school pin curl set⬅️ Hey yall so I gotta a ton of questions on how achieved a look I posted earlier this week so heres a super quick tutorial! 1. Start out with freshly washed and de-tangled hair. I normally finger detangle. Part you hair into the style you want (side part, middle part, etc) 2. Using your preferred setting lotion, lightly spray some on your hair. The key for a softer set is using minimum product. 3. Using the green perm rods (1 1/8 inch size) roll your entire head. I ran out of green so I had to use a few orange rods. 4. Air dry or dry under a hooded dryer. Remove rollers. 5. You can stop here if you have fine hair or if your set is smooth enough to your liking. My hair is coarse and I wanted a smoother set so I used a curling iron. 6. Using a 1 1/2 inch barrel curling iron, spiral curl sections. Remember to use heat protectant. I wanted a full look so I used the curling on at 325 and didnt worry too much about getting it bone straight. 7. As soon as you curl a section, pin curl using bobby pins or hair clips. It is important you do this step immediately after EACH curl so your curls dont drop. 8. Once you are ready, remove all pin curls and and you will have a head full of elongated and bouncy curls. 9. Pin curl nightly or if you want straight hair with volume, wrap your hair. I hope this helps and comment below if you have any questions! Smooches
