Post anonymously please for now. I know a lot of people will have something negative to say, but I am reaching out to the good people out there. My husband normally works 6 days a week, and he works outside in the cold 8 hours a day, but he hasnt had much work lately. We have electric heat in our 115 year old house and my electric bill is $1300, I did get on a payment plan for that which I think we can manage. I recently had weatherization come to my house to help with insulation and new windows, but they will not do anything until we replace all the old wiring in our home and pay a back gas bill of $900. If we pay the back gas they will put all new gas furnace in for us. I dont know how much it is going to cost for this wiring and I do not have the money to pay the back gas. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would be willing to meet and let you meet my family and even come see my home for yourself. I will even give the account number for the gas if you are not comfortable just giving a donation. And as for the wiring, even volunteer help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance and God bless.
