Post by Wynnum What?! via myPolice Wynnum Impersonating Police - Redland Bay On Tuesday, July 29, at 10:30am in Auster Street Redland Bay, a resident received a knock at the door. When she answered, two male persons identified themselves as Police Officers and offered to conduct a security audit of her home. The victim walked the two males around the outside of her home and they checked the exterior of her house noting eletronic devices near open windows, unlocked doors and insecure windows. The males were wearing light blue shirts and dark blue work pants. The men told the resident where she needed to improve her security before leaving. The woman contacted Redland Bay Police as she was a little suspicious about their visit. Queensland Police immediately advised her that Police do not conduct security audits of homes unless a resident has requested it and that the two men were fraudulently representing themselves as Police Officers. Please be aware of such activity and always ask to see a Police Officers Identification and badge. In you have any information in relation to this investigation please contact Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000
